  • Birth Doula

    It all begins with a “getting to know you” consultation. Throughout your pregnancy, you will receive informational emails, and unlimited text, phone, and email support. During your pregnancy we will schedule 1-2 prenatal planning sessions where we can discuss YOUR labor goals. We can design a birth guide tailored to those goals. During your labor you will receive in person labor support through 1-2 hours post-birth. Finally, you will receive an in home visit after birth to discuss your birth and any further needs.

  • Sibling Doula

    A sibling doula is an in home caregiver for any, soon-to-be big siblings that may need looking after while you are having your baby! Our Sibling Doula service includes light meal prep, playtime, reading, light housework (dishes, folding laundry). Our sibling doula package includes a prenatal “playdate” so your little one(s) can get to know your doula before the big day. Then she would be on call close to your due date, and come to your residence during your labor. (Includes up to 18 hours of support)

  • Placenta Encapsulation

    Placenta Encapsulation is a process in which your placenta is dehydrated, ground and placed into capsules after your birth. The process takes place in your home over the course of two days. I take the utmost care and safety, creating a clean environment for the process. The placenta encapsulation service also includes a tincture, a placenta print, and a cord keepsake (if desired).

    Michelle was our doula and we are so glad we had her by our side during my 36 hour labor and hospital birth. My labor started off strong with very painful contractions coming every 3 to 5 minutes within the first few hours. Michelle came to our house and was able to calm me down and get me through a very difficult period of my labor and make sense of why my contractions were so strong and frequent. She also helped my husband and I communicate with our midwife and decide whether or not to go to the hospital at that time. We checked into the hospital and continued all coping techniques. She then helped me rest, hydrate, and eat. When it finally came time to push, she worked with our nurse in guiding pushing positions. When the baby was delivered, she took pictures for us so my husband could catch her and cut the cord. She advocated for our best interests and our birth plan preferences when interacting with hospital staff which made my husband and I feel very safe and supported while in the hospital. She also took very detailed notes throughout which helped me write my birth story weeks after birth when I had already forgotten a few things. My labor was very long and difficult and there is no way we could have gotten through it with the same outcome without her. I am certain my birth would have looked very different if she weren't there supporting us. Deciding to hire a doula for our birth was the best decision we made throughout our pregnancy and Michelle was the perfect doula for us.

    When I was pregnant with my 2nd baby I decided I wanted a VBAC. My first birth hadn’t gone as I had hoped and I wanted to do everything I could to try for something better. My midwives recommended Michelle and what a blessing that was. She was outstanding! She came to visit us beforehand to discuss our plan and practice different techniques for comfort during labor. She stayed in touch regularly during my pregnancy. When I went into labor I was nervous. She came and she stayed with me as I labored at my house. From there we drove the birth center. I labored for over a day with Michelle by my side. She was calm, gentle, and loving. My VBAC plan didn’t work out and we ended up at the hospital for a C-section. Michelle was with us all the way. Having her there to advocate for us and to comfort me during my C-section helped make this my favorite birth experience.
